I suddenly asked myself this question: "Have I ever done anything without intention in my life?"

Looking back on my forty years, most things were done with intention. Setting goals, making plans, and striving to achieve those goals.
Working for results at the company, Studying for grades during school years, Even when meeting people, I remember calculating what benefit they might bring me. When I think about it, I've rarely done anything "truly without intention."
A college major course comes to mind. Reading that thick textbook in its original language led to endless questions, And I lost track of time searching for answers through related books and papers. For that subject alone, I was immersed in pure curiosity without intention or goals. I did it simply "because it was interesting."
"The path to truth is open only to those who have no intention." - Carl Jung's Red Book - - Quoted in "The Classics Have Answered About the Life We Should Live" by Ko Myung-hwan -
When I first read this sentence, I gained a profound insight. It made me reflect on my lifestyle of always setting goals and being obsessed with achievements.
I realized how difficult it is to do something "without goals," But also how important it can be.
In a recent writing by Boac, there was also this content: "You can only treat others sincerely when you don't have high expectations of them." - I Don't Have High Expectations of Others (Source: Boac's Blog) -
The moment we let go of intention, we become more genuine. And sincerity is always conveyed to the other person. If we treat not only others but also ourselves in the same way, Wouldn't life become a bit happier?
When you let go of the goal, that's when you get a real shot. It's a common saying in golf. Better results come when you enjoy the process rather than obsessing over the goal. The same applies to life.
Finally, I'm posting a picture of a tree over 500 years old in my neighborhood. For 500 years, this tree has silently sought its own truth while standing in the same place. Its presence feels both humble and awe-inspiring.

I'm curious about your stories. Have you had moments in your life when you were "immersed without intention"? Or have you experienced better results when you let go of your goals? If you share in the comments, I think it could be great inspiration for all of us.
I want to join you in reading, writing, walking, and running, Sharing this small but genuine journey of growth together.
Happy self-development today. Reading, Writing, Walking, Running. Do you have intentions?
